SEO for restaurants:
what we actually do

Restaurant SEO is mostly local SEO. People search for a cuisine, a dish or an occasion plus a suburb, and Google answers with the map first. These are the six things we work on.

Google Business Profile

The right primary and secondary categories, accurate hours (public holidays included), menu and booking links, fresh photos, regular posts, and a reply to every review — good or bad.

Local SEO & citations

The same name, address and phone number everywhere Google looks: your site, your profile and Australian directories such as True Local, Yellow Pages and Yelp.

Pages for the areas you serve

If you cater or deliver across Sydney, a useful page for each area where people actually search for you. Written for that area, not copied and pasted with the suburb name swapped.

Schema markup

Structured data for your restaurant, menu, events, FAQs and breadcrumbs, so Google and AI search tools read your opening hours, location and offer correctly. Validated before it goes live.

Content diners search for

Menu pages Google can read (not only a PDF), pages for functions and events, and guides that answer the questions people ask before they book: prices, dietary options, parking, group sizes.

Technical SEO

Page speed on mobile, indexing, sitemap, redirects and Search Console errors. See how we rebuilt La Botte d'Oro's website on a faster foundation.

How a restaurant SEO
engagement runs

We start from your own data. Google Search Console shows which searches already bring your venue up and in what position; your Google Business Profile shows calls, direction requests and website clicks. Keyword tools such as Ahrefs and Semrush tell us how many people search each phrase and who else is competing for it.

From there we pick a small set of searches that lead to bookings, give each one a page, and fix what stops those pages from ranking. Every account stays in your name.

Restaurant SEO: frequently asked questions

Fixes to your Google Business Profile and website can show up within weeks. Ranking for competitive searches usually takes months. We don't promise positions or dates: each month we show you in Search Console what moved.
No. Nobody controls Google's results, and an agency that guarantees a position is guessing. We work on the things that make ranking more likely and report honestly on what changed.
Yes, and for many venues it is the most important part, because the map results appear above the normal results for many searches with a suburb or "near me" in them.
Not always. We start with an audit. If your current site is reasonably fast and easy to edit, we work on it. If it is slow or hard to change, we tell you and quote a rebuild separately.
Yes. We're based in Sydney and work with hospitality businesses across Australia.
